With MAP®, you receive a premium amino acid product specifically formulated for humans. It boasts a Net Amino Acid Utilization (NAV) of over 99%, meaning that MAP® is almost entirely converted into body protein.
This makes MAP® superior to any other protein product, as it already contains the building blocks of protein metabolism — the eight essential amino acids — in 100% free, highly pure, and crystalline form. These amino acids do not need to be digested first and can be absorbed directly through the small intestine without any loss. On an empty stomach, it takes a maximum of 23 minutes for the amino acids to be available to the body.
MAP® supplements a dog’s daily diet with the 8 essential amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein synthesis. It is used both with raw meat diets (BARF, Prey) and particularly with commercial dry or wet food. Many commercial foods are low-quality, containing too many carbohydrates and insufficient protein. Since dogs are carnivores, they require 20% protein from wet food or 40% from dry food to align with their natural diet.
